Laurel Thoma is a New York-based artist focused on conceptual photography. Working primarily in self-portraiture centred on the nude form, her black-and-white photographs present the body as intimate yet removed, a recurring presence within the frame.

Born in Carmel, California and raised on the Monterey Peninsula, Thoma studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. In 2025, she presented Nine Silver Gelatin Prints within shows at Webber Gallery in London and Los Angeles. The series went on to form her debut publication and was presented in a signing at Yvon Lambert Paris the same year.
